If you're interested in a self-sufficient, multi-day journey by canoe across the most remote part of NW Scotland then this is just the trip for you. Traversing Assynt between the towering peaks of Cul Mor and Suilven you can escape to the real world. This is not a technically difficult trip and is suitable for a range of skill levels paddling either solo or tandem.

Please call Steve to discuss this or any other provision, he'll be delighted to hear from you.

NEW: Steve will be offering BC's Guide modules as optional extras for anyone interested during sea kayak and canoeing trips. This will entail additional time and cost but will be much cheaper than taking the modules individually. The modules will not interfere with the trip if you are not taking them.

Dates: 14-18 May 2018.

Cost: £425 (£550 if the 3 BC Guide modules are included).

This 2 week expedition in the NW territories is being run in the Summer of 2017 from Rabbitkettle Lake to Lindberg Landing. The price includes float planes in to the start point, all outfitting, food during the trip and the shuttle back to Fort Simpson.

You should be a good three star canoe standard to join the trip, though it will be run in 17' tandem prospector canoes so there is a little latitude if you are paddling with a competent partner.

The Nahanni is a stunning, and very remote, wilderness trip. It is an iconic canoe journey. We have scheduled time for days off to walk, relax and sightsee during the trip - and we will have to portage some of the major river features such as Virginia Falls (image).

The trip will be run by Martin McCarthy and Steve, please contact us to discuss the trip if you are interested.

** This was an amazing trip for all concerned. Martin and Steve are intending to run future wilderness journeys and are likely to choose a North Canadian venue for a 2019 expedition. Please let us know if this will interest you as places are taken up quickly.

Dates: Steve has a Scottish trip in May 2018 and Martin & Steve are planning a further North Canadian trip in 2019.

Cost: £3650 (This was the Nahanni trip price)
