We are offering a two week paddling trip down the Keele river in NW Canada in summer 2019 for up to 10 clients. We'll use float planes to transport you to the start point for this classic trip through the Mackenzie mountains to join the Mackenzie river. It is suitable for competent paddlers, though less experienced folk are welcome if sharing a boat with a capable canoeist as it is not a technically demanding trip.

For those who are interested we are including all five British Canoeing Guide Modules as part of this trip at no extra cost. This equates to a saving of at least £500 compared to doing them separately. The modules will have no impact on the trip experience for those not taking them.

Click on the pdf link for more details and feel free to call Steve for a discussion or to reserve your place.

Dates: Starts from Norman Wells, NWT, Canada on June 29th 2019. Arrives back in Norman Wells on July 14th.

Cost: £3850

If you're interested in a self-sufficient, multi-day journey by canoe across the most remote part of NW Scotland then this is just the trip for you. Traversing Assynt between the towering peaks of Cul Mor and Suilven you can escape to the real world. This is not a technically difficult trip and is suitable for a range of skill levels paddling either solo or tandem.

Please call Steve to discuss this or any other provision, he'll be delighted to hear from you.

NEW: Steve will be offering BC's Guide modules as optional extras for anyone interested during sea kayak and canoeing trips. This will entail additional time and cost but will be much cheaper than taking the modules individually. The modules will not interfere with the trip if you are not taking them.

Dates: 13-17 May 2019

Cost: £425 (£550 if the 3 BC Guide modules are included).

Canoe Expedition on the River Nahanni, NW Canada, 2017.Enquiries and Booking

Canoe Expedition on the River Nahanni, NW Canada, 2017.

This 2 week expedition in the NW territories was run in the Summer of 2017 from Rabbitkettle Lake to Lindberg Landing. The price included float planes in to the start point, all outfitting, food during the trip and the shuttle back to Fort Simpson.

The Nahanni is a stunning, and remote, wilderness trip. It is an iconic canoe journey. We scheduled time for days off to walk, relax and sightsee during the trip - and did have to portage some of the major river features such as Virginia Falls (image).

The Nahanni trip was run by Martin McCarthy and Steve, please contact us to discuss future trips if you are interested.

** This was an amazing trip for all concerned. Martin and Steve are intending to run future wilderness journeys and have chosen the River Keele through the Mackenzie mountains as the venue for the summer 2019 expedition. Please have a look at the specific information for that trip and let us know if this will interest you as places are taken up quickly.

Dates: Steve has an annual trip to the NW highlands of Scotland every year too.
