PRIVATE GUIDING & TUITION
Steve has climbed, run and walked extensively in the UK, Europe and the USA. Amongst other exploits he has ascended a third of the Alpine 4000m peaks including the Matterhorn via the Italian Ridge, a complete E to W traverse of the entire Mt Blanc range and the ascent of the North Face of the Lenzspitze. Steve has also climbed in Yosemite and Joshua Tree in the US, summited all the Lakeland Peaks on at least two occasions (most many more times), climbed over one hundred of the Scottish Munroes (mostly in winter) and (in younger years) took part in many fell races and seventeen mountain marathons as a member of Keswick AC. Steve is qualified to take you out and to support your mountain days whatever the activity, level and time of year and has in-depth environmental knowledge to enhance your day with if you wish. Steve can provide support for your mountain walking adventures whatever your level and ambitions. NAVIGATION TRAINING & PRACTICE
With increasing numbers of us heading to the hills for our adventures, and many relying on mobile phones to get around, more and more people are coming unstuck when the conditions deteriorate, technology fails or darkness falls and they don’t have the knowledge and means to navigate. Being able to find your way safely in the hills using a map and compass is a critical skill which could save your life – a skill which Steve will be pleased to help you learn, develop and practise.

ROCK CLIMBING
If you are keen on trying some rock climbing, Steve will be pleased to help. This typically entails a single pitch crag where you can climb and abseil multiple routes while protected by a safety rope. You can also practise your lead climbing and the placing of protection under supervision. All technical equipment can be provided.
