SEA KAYAK GUIDE AWARD

Steve is one of a very small number of trainers who can provide all five of British Canoeing’s Guide modules as well as Guide assessments. He prefers to run them as part of longer trips and expeditions so they are delivered in the most appropriate context. However, they can also be delivered individually and from a fixed base as needed.

TRAINING

Aspirant Guides are required to complete (or APL) at least three of the five modules below. Full information on this award can be found on British Canoeing’s website.

ASSESSMENT

Steve will discuss this with you and offer support to prepare for an observed day of guiding in the craft and environment of your choice. He will also wish to discuss your broader experience and knowledge in line with the module content. Candidates should regard this as a process taking place over time rather than a single day of practical delivery.
